      The Opportunity

      We are seeking an Accounting Manager with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable and revenue recognition to join our growing finance team and play a key part in ensuring the accurate recording of transactions related to all of NRG’s operations. The role will also carry a wide range of responsibilities within the team, requiring strong leadership abilities, exceptional attention to detail and extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

      Your Impact

      • Manage accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
      • Assist with managing month end close process, including preparation of monthly journals, investigation of variances versus budget, review of general ledger activity for necessary month end accruals, and account reconciliations (including fixed assets, accrued expenses, and intercompany accounts).
      • Prepare monthly financial review packs including variance analysis.
      • Oversee Accounts Receivable activities including billing, collections, and revenue recognition (accrued & deferred income).
      • Manage the Financial Accountants and Billing Coordinators who are handling administrative updates to the forecasted revenue pipeline, invoicing, and collections. Ensure invoice requests are met and processed timely. Ensure controls and processes are robust and regularly reviewed.
      • Lead the end-to-end process for in-coming sales, review contracts adhering to SOX compliance rules.
      • Manage tax and license requirements including VAT, W9 forms, business tax renewal, property tax statements and withholding tax.
      • Oversee credit cards accounts and activities including oversight of employee expenses and ensuring alignment with policies.
      • Provide support with our annual audit, dealing with requests, and assisting with the preparation of information.
      • Drive simplification, standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls to achieve effective financial reporting and SOX compliance.
      • Support the Head of Finance and Finance Director on ad-hoc projects as needed.

      Who We’re Looking For

      • Experience – 5+ years of financial services industry experience including general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and good understanding of accounting concepts and principles
      • Your degree(s) – B.A./B.S. in Finance or Accounting
      • Professionalism – You’re exposed to sensitive data and must be able to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and company information
      • Tools – proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Deltek Maconomy is a plus!
      • Superb communication – strong written + oral communication skills and analytical skills
      • Time management & Adaptability – successfully manage time and competing priorities to ensure deadlines are always met; able to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
      • Self-starter – internally motivated individual who continuously strives to get things done, regardless of challenges encountered
      • Team player – ability to work collaboratively and/or initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight

      Position Type

      This is a full-time, exempt position. The position is expected to be flexible/hybrid, with occasional in-office days.

      Compensation

      In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $90,000-95,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
